Yael, an Australian resident of New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael holds a master's diploma from NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with Australia's premiere storytellers, luminaries of performance and visionaries working behind the scenes of film, television and theatre. Yael has had a long and successful career with a thriving career in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael moved from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's staging of the play had an enormous success. Yael founded The Cannery with her co-founders. The Cannery is a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery encourages writing, innovative creative initiatives, and encourages the growth of writers in their teens.
